OnePlus 3 Will be Exclusive to Amazon in India

When it comes to smartphone launches, there are few out there that command as much quiet excitement as a OnePlus launch. Sure, the Chinese brand is’t quite as sort after as Samsung is right now, but the OnePlus 3 has been leaking out all over the place these past few weeks and today, June 14th, is the day that it finally, officially becomes official. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the leaks and such will stop, far from it as an Indian newspaper revealed the price of the OnePlus 3 in India. Now, it appears as though the OnePlus 3 is going to be an exclusive item to Amazon India, with its Amazon listing having popped up online already.

The Amazon India page describes the OnePlus 3 as the device that we all pretty much know it’s going to be launched as later today, but also sheds some extra light on some features. Notably the price as well as its unique, proprietary fast charging technology. As the newspaper ad from earlier let slip, the OnePlus 3 is going to cost RS 27,999 from Amazon India, and the images from the Amazon listing (grouped in the below gallery) only go to confirm as much. Meanwhile, the fast charging technology in the OnePlus 3 is called Dash Charge and according to the Amazon page will provide a respectable 60% of the 3,000 mAh battery is just half an hour. On top of all of this, the rest of the phone’s specifications and features have also been outed by Amazon, and the Snapdragon 820 and 6GB of RAM all seem to be true, as too does the 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. A 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera all seem to be confirmed as well, and a new feature called “Smart Capture” appears to be coming along for the ride as well.

Curious users who just can’t wait can take a look at the gallery below for all of the images taken from the now-offline Amazon IN listing. It’s not easy for a company to launch something all over the world, with different time zones and different marketing campaigns colliding with each other it can be a chore to get everything organized. Regardless, OnePlus is not the sort of company to complain about a little extra hype prior to a big launch like this.
