ZTE’s Nubia subsidy is quite popular in China. This company has released a number of really compelling smartphones thus far, their Nubia Z9 line was quite popular last year, and the Nubia Z11 Mini was introduced a couple of weeks ago. That being said, many people are waiting for Nubia to unveil their new flagship smartphone and phablet, the Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max. The two devices seemingly surfaced on TENAA a while back, though on our great surprise, both devices were fueled by Qualcomm’s mid-range processor. That being said, yet another Nubia-branded device surfaced on TENAA recently, at least according to the source.
Anyhow, the smartphone that leaked sports basically the same design as the previously leaked model, but comes with a much more powerful processor. This listing says that this model comes with the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, which is Qualcomm’s flagship SoC at the moment, and one of the most powerful mobile processors out there. According to the source, this smartphone is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while it also packs in a 2,900mAh battery. The device is made out of metal, and comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display. The 16-megapixel camera is placed on its back, and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter is also included here. The phone measures 151.8 x 72.3 x 7.75mm, and it will quite probably ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the company’s Nubia UI on top of it.
The phone looks quite sleek, and as you can see, this is a metal unibody design we’re looking at there. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of this phone, and all of its physical keys are located on the right-hand side of the device. Nubia’s trademark capacitive circle key is back once again, and the SIM card tray is placed on the left side of this phone. That is pretty much it for now, this smartphone is expected to be announced soon, the only question is, which SoC will it sport in the end? Is Nubia planning to introduce both the mid-range and high-end variant of the Nubia Z11, or perhaps they opt to release just one and are testing both? We’ll see, stay tuned.
