Rumor: Honor 8 To Land On July 5th In Three Variants

Honor is, as many of you probably already know, Huawei’s subsidy. This company had introduced a number of compelling smartphones this year, and the latest addition to their lineup of devices is the Honor 5C. This handset was introduced in China back in April, and has since then arrived to both the UK and India. That being said, many people are waiting for Honor to release the Honor 8, a successor to the widely popular Honor 7 smartphone which arrived last year. That being said, a recent rumor talked about Honor 8’s specifications, and now a new piece of info surfaced, read on.

According to the newly-leaked info, the Honor 8 might be announced on July 5th, and will go on sale a week later, on July 12th. Now, this rumor also says that Honor will officially confirm this by June 25th, so if the info is accurate, we’ll get a confirmation within the next 48 hours or so. The Honor 8 will, allegedly ship with the dual glass design, and a slab of metal in between those sheets of glass. The phone’s bezels will be very thin, at least according to rumors, and the device will ship with a really compelling spec sheet as well, especially considering it will be very affordable. According to previous rumors, the Honor 8 will ship with a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and the Kirin 650 or Kirin 950 64-bit octa-core processor. The device is expected to pack in a 3,200mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of this smartphone. The Type-C port will be located on the bottom of this phone, and rumors claim that the company will include two cameras on the back of this device.

Now, the phone’s pricing also leaked a while back, and according to that info, the device will ship in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The 32GB model is said to ship in two variants, one which won’t come with NFC, and one that will offer NFC functions. The most affordable model will cost 1,999 Yuan ($308), while the NFC 32GB storage model is said to cost 2,199 Yuan ($334). Now, the other two variants (64GB and 128GB storage ones) are said to cost 2,499 Yuan ($380) and 2,799 Yuan ($425), respectively. Some rumors even claim that the highest-end variant of this device will come with a QHD display, though that seems unlikely.
