Rumor: OnePlus 3 May Be Launched In Green Soon

Chinese smartphone brand, OnePlus, came into the limelight a couple of years ago when it launched its first-ever smartphone – the OnePlus One. A lot has happened in the tech world since then, but even through all the criticisms and controversies it has had to face for its rather brash and often ill-advised marketing campaigns, the company’s popularity (and sales) have only been on an upswing over this period. The third-generation OnePlus flagship was launched earlier this month, but the company is already looking to introduce a few new options to keep things interesting for its customers. While the OnePlus 3 is currently only available in Grey, a few new colors are rumored to hit the store shelves pretty soon.

While a Soft Gold color option is said to be made available by the end of next month, a couple of additional new colors may also be launched if recent reports are anything to go by. Earlier this week, we read about a red version of the OnePlus 3 that is seemingly in the works, but latest reports now indicate that there might actually be even more options for those wanting their smartphones all cheery and colorful. While the existence of the red OnePlus 3 was basically confirmed after it was reportedly listed on OnePlus’ official site before being removed, there could also be a green version that too will soon be offered for purchase by the company.

In both cases, though, the front of the phone will remain unchanged, with black bezels all round, while it’s the back that will see the change in color. The internals of the phone, of course, are not expected to change one bit, so the device will continue to remain the high-performance machine on a budget that it has always been. Either way, it is important to remember that OnePlus is yet to comment officially on the availability – or for that matter, even the existence – of this green hue. That being said, let’s just hope that the rumored choices are offered to buyers at some stage going forward, because a lot of buyers would love to have more options than just gray.
