Mobile payment solutions are becoming increasingly popular among smartphone users, and it’s safe to assume that, for certain Samsung customers, Samsung Pay has become the primary method for mobile payments. The service was released in the United States in September 2015, which means plenty of smartphone users in the States have had enough time to decide whether or not Samsung Pay is worth their time. For those who have already embraced the platform, or otherwise, Samsung recently prepared a new promotion which gives customers an opportunity to win a $10 gift card every hour, and also receive $20 off new Samsung purchases.
Apparently, the Samsung Pay promotion in question has been going on for a few days already, but for whatever reasons Samsung has been keeping rather quiet on the matter. Nevertheless, it appears that Samsung has been running the promotion for Samsung Pay customers in the United States since June 22. It ends on the 1st of August, and until then, Samsung customers who have purchased an eligible Galaxy device – including one from the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S7 series, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – will receive a 20$ eCertificate once they make a purchase through Samsung Pay using their handset. The voucher can be redeemed on the manufacturer’s official website and can be used for buying one of Samsung’s products and accessories – including the Samsung Gear 360 VR headset – for a discounted price. However, while not entirely clear, it’s likely that the eCertificate might be awarded only to customers who have made a mobile payment using Samsung Pay on an eligible “Galaxy” smartphones purchased after June 22, and not before.
In addition, Samsung appears to be running a second promotion (or a second reward as part of the same campaign) for Samsung Pay customers, designed to award a $10 gift card to the first 777 Samsung Pay users of every hour. Reportedly, the $10 gift card can be used in the United States at Best Buy, GameStop, P.F Changs, Domino’s, Regal Entertainment Group, and American Eagle Outfitters. This promotion will end next week on July 8, and apparently the gift cards can be acquired on Friday(s) between 12 PM and 7 PM Eastern Time. That being said, assuming that you are a Samsung Pay user in the US and you are eligible for the promotion, you might want to hurry up in order to take advantage of the $10 gift cards.
