The OnePlus 3 is the company’s latest flagship, and it arrived a couple of days ago. OnePlus announced this smartphone during their VR event, and the device is already available for purchase in a number of regions. The OnePlus 3 features high-end specs, and despite that, it’s quite affordable. This phone costs only $399 in the U.S., and prices in other markets are quite comparable. That being said, the company has introduced this device in Graphite and Soft Gold color variants, and only the Graphite model is currently available. Are you interested in the Soft Gold variant? Well, read on.
Pretty much everyone thought that both of these color options will be available straight away, but that’s not the case. The company’s Carl Pei decided to clarify this issue by answering a question over Twitter, he said that the Soft Gold variant of the OnePlus 3 will be available in the latter part of July, so if you’re interested in that variant, you’ll need to wait a bit longer. The OnePlus 3 is OnePlus’ third-gen flagship, and the fourth device overall. Speaking of which, the second-gen OnePlus X won’t be launching this year, or ever it seems, the company said that they’ll focus on their flagship line from now on, which is probably quite disappointing for those of you who were waiting for a new compact OnePlus X smartphone.
Anyhow, the OnePlus 3 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Optic AMOLED display, a whopping 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 16-megapixel camera is placed on the back of the OnePlus 3, and an 8-megapixel shooter is available on the phone’s front side. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here with the company’s OxygenOS on top of it. There are two SIM card slots here, and OnePlus has, once again, included the physical alert switcher on the right side of this phone. The device can now be purchased directly from the company, and we’ll let you know as soon as the Soft Gold variant becomes available.
