Sony Canada Reveals Availability Dates for Xperia X Lineup

Sony is not keeping Canada in the dark – all four of their new Xperia X line will be available in Canada sometime between June 23 and July 14 on a variety of carriers, although Telus is conspicuously absence from the list.  While Sony has released the carriers and dates, no prices were announced, which seems funny since the availability on some carriers is about two weeks away.  There are four models to choose from – the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia XA Ultra – although it seems like two or three would have been plenty for Sony to market.

It looks like Rogers will sell only the Xperia X Performance model in Graphite Black with reservations starting on June 23 and availability on July 14.  Bell will get the Xperia X Performance in Graphite Black or White, as well as the Xperia XA in the same two colors with all models available June 23.  Virgin Mobile will sell the Xperia XA in Graphite Black or White with availability on June 23.  WIND Mobile will carry the basic Xperia X and the Xperia XA in Graphite Black and exclusively carry the Xperia XA Ultra in Graphite Black – all models will be available July 14.  Videotron will offer the Xperia X in Graphite Black on June 29.

The top-of-the-line Sony Xperia X Performance sports a 5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 3GB of DDR4 RAM and an expandable 32GB of internal memory.  It packs a 23MP primary camera and a 13MP front-facing camera  and has the dual front facing stereo speakers.  A non-removable 2700mAh battery fuels the device.

The midrange Sony Xperia X uses the same 5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, but is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and an expandable 32GB or 64GB of internal memory.  It packs the same 23MP primary camera and a 13MP front-facing camera and has the dual front facing stereo speakers.  A non-removable 2620mAh battery provides the power.

The large screen Sony Xperia XA Ultra has a large 6-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, powered by a MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core processor with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and an expandable 16GB of internal memory.  It packs a 21.5MP primary camera and a 16MP front-facing camera.  A non-removable 2700mAh battery powers the device.  There is no fingerprint sensor on this model.

The lower end Sony Xperia XA uses a 5-inch IPS LCD HD display, powered by a MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core processor with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and an expandable 16GB of internal memory.  It packs a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front-facing camera and a non-removable 2200mAh battery fuels the device.  There is no fingerprint sensor on this model.
