LG is a company who releases a serious number of smartphones each year. If you are after a flagship LG smartphone, then you can pick between the likes of the LG G or LG V series. While, if you are after something more affordable and less spec-heavy then the LG K range is likely to be more suitable. In fact, even within the K range there are a number of options to choose from including the likes of the LG K4, K5, K7, K8 and K10. Today, Verizon has added another variant to the list by announcing they are preparing to accept pre-orders on the LG K8 V, a Verizon exclusive.
In terms of the Verizon availability, the carrier has now confirmed that the LG K8 V will be available to pre-order through the carrier from June 9 (tomorrow). If you prefer to pay for the device month by month, then the K8 V will be available on a Verizon device payment plan for $6 per month and over a 24 month period. Alternatively, the outright price being listed by Verizon is $144. According to Verizon, the device will be available on general sale (and presumably when shipping of pre-orders can be expected) from June 16.
In terms of what is on offer with the LG K8 V, this is a smartphone which comes equipped with a 5-inch display and makes use of a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the LG K8 V is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor (clocking at 1.3 GHz ), while cameras comes in the form of an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of storage, the K8 V is listed to come with 16GB internal storage and does allow for expansion thanks to the inclusion of a microSD card slot (support up to 128GB). A removable 2,125 mAh battery powers the K8 V while the smartphone comes running on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out of the box. Verizon has yet to confirm the RAM of the LG K8 V, however, the LG K8 (non-V) has been noted being released in other regions with 1.5GB RAM. Although, that variant also has a lower internal storage capacity so the RAM might not be the same on the V model either.
