AnTuTu Releases A List Of Most Powerful Devices In H1 2016

We’ve seen tons of interesting smartphones released in the first half of this year, various smartphone manufacturing companies have released their offerings, ranging from low to high-end devices. Well, many of those smartphones are equipped with quite powerful chips, like the Snapdragon 820 or in Samsung’s case the Exynos 8890, which, in combination with other specs, make them look really good in benchmark tests. Having that in mind, AnTuTu has released their Top 10 most powerful smartphones list for the first half of this year, read on.

First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that AnTuTu is a benchmarking site, and this list is compiled based on the general benchmarking score, which does not necessarily reflects the day-to-day performance of these devices, of course. Having that in mind, let’s check out this list, shall we. The recently announced OnePlus 3 handset sits at the very top of this list, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 820 SoC (like many other devices on this list), and it has managed to score 140,288 points on AnTuTu. The OnePlus 3 is followed by the Vivo XPlay 5 Elite, which scored 138,706 points, and the LeEco Le Max 2 with a score of 138,026 points. These three handsets are followed by the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro (136,853 points), Xiaomi Mi 5 (136,773 points) and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (134,599 points). Now, considering this is a top 10 list, four devices remain, the number 6 – 10 spots are occupied by the iPhone 6S, ZTE AXON 7, iPhone SE and the Lenovo ZUK Z2. These four devices have managed to score 133,781, 132,217, 131,401 and 129.076 points, respectively.

Now, as you can see, the difference between the first placed OnePlus 3, and the Lenovo ZUK Z2 which sits in 10th place is not that big, at all. All of these smartphones are quite powerful and ship with quite powerful internals, though they do require great software in combination with such internals to offer stellar performance, of course. It will be interesting to see what will this list look like at the end of the year once other high-end devices come to market, phones like the Galaxy Note 7, LG V10 2nd-gen, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Meizu PRO 7, for example.
