Nubia is a China-based company which is backed by ZTE and a number of other investors, but Nubia is a standalone company. This company had introduced a couple of devices this year, including the Nubia Z11, Nubia Z11 Mini and Nubia Z11 Max. The Nubia Z11 is the company’s all-new flagship handset, this device not only ships with high-end specs, but also comes with a premium ‘bezel-less’ design. That being said, a rather interesting leak popped up yesterday, showing off details of yet another Nubia-branded handset, the Nubia N1, read on.
The Nubia N1 details leaked in a PowerPoint presentation yesterday, and not long after that, Nubia has silently launched this phablet. The Nubia N1 packs in quite a big battery, this smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh unit, which is not removable, but it should last you a whole day no matter what you do with your device. The Nubia N1 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080, 401ppi) display, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The phone is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, MediaTek’s mid-range SoC. The 13-megapixel camera (PDAF, 0.2s autofocus, 3D Noise Reduction, f/2.2 aperture) is placed on the back of the Nubia N1, while you’ll find also find a 13-megapixel shooter up front, though the units are not identical. The phone comes with Nubia 4.0 UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and is equipped with a number of software features, including the split screen multitasking.
This smartphone is made out of metal, as you can see in the images down below, and a fingerprint scanner is placed on its back. The circular capacitive home key is included here as well, and the phone is actually quite affordable. The Nubia N1 is priced at 1,699 Yuan ($254) in China, and it comes in both Silver and Gold color variants. We still don’t know when will the device will become available though, even though that will probably happen soon. The Nubia N1 will become available in China first, and we’ll see if the company plans to release this handset anywhere else.
