Leaked Images Allegedly Show Off The Xiaomi Notebook

Xiaomi, a relatively well-known Chinese electronics manufacturer known primarily for their smartphones and a couple of tablets, has come a long way in a short few years that they have been making handsets. By offering smartphones that provide a great balance between quality and price, they have grown to be one of the top smartphone manufacturers on the market today. But Xiaomi apparently isn’t stopping at smartphones and tablets. Their next product, which will reportedly launch soon, is rumored to be a notebook computer.

It is important to mention that this report has not been officially confirmed by Xiaomi; it is based on rumors, and as such, some of the information provided here may be inaccurate. With that said, if reports are accurate, the notebook, like their smartphones, will provide potential buyers with a good deal of power at an affordable price. Rumored to be called the Xiaomi Notebook, it is said to pack 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7 6500U CPU (with the possibility of a Core i5 variant as well), USB Type-C, a long-lasting battery, and Windows 10. It is also believed to have a customized user interface. There will be two size options, a 13-inch display, and a 15.6-inch display. In terms of physical design, the notebook resembles a MacBook Air. And one of the most interesting things about the Xiaomi Notebook is its price. It is rumored that the i5 model if released, will start at only $450. While the prices of other variants have not been specified, this figure at least gives some idea of the pricing structure, which suggests a great value. To put things into perspective, a comparable MacBook Air would cost well over twice as much, and it is reasonable to expect that the other models will offer similar savings.

Although this information is still unofficial, Xiaomi is expected to launch the notebook alongside two new smartphones on July 27th, 2016, so the wait is nearly over, and it’s probably safe to expect more information to come to light very soon. If you can’t wait and you’d like to see what the Xiaomi Notebook will reportedly look like, check out the leaked pictures below.
