The latest LEGO Star Wars game has finally come to Android, and the first episode is available for free to pick up right now for fans of the Star Wars franchise and/or the LEGO series of games. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens follows along the with the story of the film which launched at the end of last year, of course those who have seen the movie will notice obvious differences, like the more comical tones of the game compared to a more serious and adventure-filled aspect of the film. This is to be expected though, as it is a LEGO game and it’s catering to everyone, which makes it a great game for kids as well as adults and anyone in between.
Rest assured, there is plenty of adventure to be had in LEGO Star Wars: TFA as well, as mobile gamers will be able to experience epic battles and dogfights with enemies as well as enhanced flight sequences, blaster battles, and a new Multi-Build system where players will be able to solve puzzles. The game includes multiple playable characters such as Finn, Rey, Han Solo, Poe Dameron, and more.
It’s worth noting that only the first episode is free to install, and if gamers want to access additional content like the remaining episodes, characters and other elements of the game, an in-app purchase can be made for the All Content Season Pass to open it up. The game also boasts storylines that have been “previously untold,” so there will be some new content that isn’t part of the film the game is based on that gamers will be able to engage in. For those that have played other LEGO Star Wars games in the series, there will be some familiarity as collecting coins is still a part of the game which is part of progressing through the content. Gameplay is also mixed with a handful of cutscenes to watch and enjoy, and as the game gets older more content will be added in future updates to expand the replay value, ensuring that users are able to enjoy the game for quite some time.
