The Meizu MX6 has been one of the most talked about Chinese smartphones in the last couple of weeks. The company’s CEO isn’t all that thrilled with the design of the MX6 because it resembles the PRO 6 too much. That being said, the MX6 looks fine, at least according to a number of leaks we’ve seen thus far. It’s nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary, and it might resemble the PRO 6 (and some other Meizu-branded devices) too much, but that doesn’t mean it will be a bad product, of course. Anyhow, we’ve recently shared some exclusive renders of this smartphone, and some additional real life images leaked, along with Geekbench and AnTuTu listings of this device.
On top of all this, we’ve also seen this smartphone leak inside a case, a flip case, to be more accurate. This leak surfaced two days ago, and all we knew back then is how will the case look like, and that it will be a flip case, but today’s leak reveals more info. The case that leaked will actually pack in an LED notification light which will be embedded throughout the accessory, as you can see in the image down below (animated .GIF). This will be a multi-color LED notification light, which is always a nice touch, and we presume you’ll be able to download an app that will let you control the case, or perhaps Meizu intends to build in that functionality to the MX6, who knows. In addition to all this, it is worth saying that this case is made out of leather, and it will automatically wake up your phone when you open it, and lock the display when you close it.
The case will be available in both Black and White color variants, and it is possible some additional color options will be available as well. We still don’t have any info when it comes to the pricing of this case, but it is expected to arrive along with the Meizu MX6 on July 19th. Speaking of which, the Meizu MX6 will, quite probably, sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM, and will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the company’s Flyme UI on top of it. MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor will fuel this smartphone, and we still don’t know what camera sensors will the company include, the 12-megapixel, 13-megapixel and 20.7-megapixel rear-facing shooters were mentioned in recent rumors, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
