Meizu had introduced four smartphones thus far this year, the Meizu M3, M3 Note, PRO 6 and M3s. That being said, the company is getting ready to introduce yet another handset, the long-rumored Meizu MX6. This smartphone had already surfaced on both AnTuTu and Geekbench, while it also surfaced in a number of leaked renders, and even real life images. Judging by those leaks, and Meizu CEO’s latest comments, the Meizu MX6 will resemble the PRO 6 quite a bit, which is something Meizu’s CEO isn’t all that happy about. Anyhow, the Meizu MX6 will launch on July 19th, that has already been confirmed by the company, and now we get to look at some more leaked content, read on.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice that there are two new Meizu MX6 renders included there. This time around we get to see the device in a case, a flip case it seems, which suggests Meizu will sell this accessory for the Meizu MX6 along with the device. This particular case is in white, though we do believe Meizu will offer more than one color variant for you to choose from. The case does not have a cutout on the front for the display (part of it, like some other flip cases do), or anything of the sort, which leads us to believe this is just a regular flip case, though it might wake up your device when you open it, like a number of other cases do. If you take a closer look at the two provided images, you’ll get to see the device’s rear-facing camera, and the dual-LED, dual tone flash below it. The camera sensor will protrude a bit, and the 10-LED ring flash we’ve seen on the PRO 6 will not be included here. Both the power / lock and volume rocker keys will be placed on the right-hand side of the Meizu MX6, and the phone will be made out of metal.
That being said, the Meizu MX6 will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, at least according to benchmark listings. The phone will also ship with 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, while the company’s Flyme 5.2.2.0G UI will be installed on top of Google’s OS. We still don’t know what camera sensor will Meizu use here, the 12-megapixel, 13-megapixel and 20.7-megapixel camera units have been rumored, so… we’ll just have to wait and see.
