Niantic, as well as The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have been enjoying quite a bit of success with their augmented reality game Pokemon GO in the little time that it’s been released in the U.S. and a few other regions around the globe, having already received widespread acclaim and been recognized as the most popular mobile game in U.S. history. Niantic was due to launch the game in France as of last week Friday, which is around the same time when the company released the game in Germany, the UK, and other parts of Europe like Italy, Spain, and Portugal, but after the attacks in Nice, France, The Pokemon Company has stated that they want to delay the launch of the game in the country as a sign of respect.
With the game continuing to spread to other regions around the globe, having also just recently launched in Canada, Pokemon GO is likely to continue an upward momentum. It is unclear at this point in time how long the delay was planned for with no mention of such details by either of the three companies involved with the game’s development and release. Although the delay of the launch simply means that users in France will have to wait a little bit longer for the Play Store availability to pop up, it likely won’t stop some users from trying to get a hold of the APK file for the game in some other way.
This however, would be ill advised by many considering the issues that people have been having with fake versions of the game which contain malware. While potential French players can’t officially get their hands on the game just yet, the delay shouldn’t last for too long, and this gives players the opportunity to read up on all sorts of tips and tricks to maximize their gameplay, as well as read up on possible hot spots for all of the rarest Pokemon so they may no know where to go from the beginning. If you’ve yet to experience Pokemon GO or somehow were able to escape any sort of coverage on it and are still unaware of what it is, this wildly popular game is sure to be a treat for anyone that was a fan of Pokemon growing up.
