Oukitel K7000 Is A New Phone Which Ships With A Battery Case

Oukitel is one of many China-based smartphone manufacturing companies. This company might not be as big as Huawei, ZTE or Xiaomi, but they’ve released some really compelling devices in the last year or so. Oukitel had introduced a number of big battery phones in that period, including the K4000, K6000 and K10000 devices we’ve already reviewed. These three phones ship with 4,000mAh, 6,000mAh and 10,000mAh battery packs, which makes them appealing to consumers which are looking for such phones, and are not exactly interesting in purchasing high-end devices. Oukitel had also introduced various sub-versions of the aforementioned devices, like the K4000 Pro and K6000 Pro, for example, and the company has just announced yet another ‘K’ series device, read on.

Our source at the company shared some renders and spec info when it comes to the upcoming Oukitel K7000 handset. Now, some of you might assume that the K7000 actually means that this phone will have a 7,000mAh battery, and you’d be right, well, sort of. The Oukitel K7000 comes with a 2,000mAh battery, but Oukitel includes a 5,000mAh ‘battery charging case’ called ‘Matrix’, which will add tons of battery to the phone if you opt to use it. This is essentially an external battery case for the device, and interesting enough, you can use this case to charge up some other devices if needed. Oukitel is marketing this phone as the ‘slimmest phone with a massive battery’ (the phone is 4mm thin, and Oukitel is actually using the 7,000mAh battery + 4mm thickness to market the phone), and even though that’s not exactly accurate considering we’re talking about an external case here which adds quite a bit of thickness, it’s nice of them to ship the phone with the ‘Matrix’ case and give you some options, that’s for sure. On top of all this, the ‘Matrix’ case can be used as a stand as well, which is also a nice option. In case you’re wondering, the company did not share the phone’s measurements when you put a case on it, but we do imagine it gets quite a bit thicker.

In addition to all this, our source also shared some spec info when it comes to this phone. The Oukitel K7000 will sport a 5-inch display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6737 quad-core SoC, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device. The 13-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the Oukitel K7000, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The device will come in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Space Gray color variants, and will become available at the end of this month.
