ZTE Launches Axon Mini and Blade V6 In India

ZTE has been in the smartphone industry for quite some time now and has been trying to expand its range of premium devices over the years, with its latest device being the ZTE Axon 7 which was announced back in May 2016 with top of the line specs. The company has also been releasing devices to cater to those who are looking to buy a mid-range or budget smartphone especially in Asia. One such country is India, which is a growing smartphone market with huge potential and ZTE is looking to tap into that with the launch of its ZTE Blade V6 and ZTE Axon Mini devices in the country.

The ZTE Blade V6 was announced about a year ago in July 2015 and has finally made its way to India. The device is known as the ZTE Blade D6 in other countries. As for specs, the Blade V6 sports a 5.0 inch HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 System-on-Chip backed by a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The device packs 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded a further 256 GB via a microSD card slot which doubles as a secondary sim slot. For optics, the device has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash while the front has a decent 5-megapixel shooter. A 2,200 mAh non-removable battery keeps the lights on this device. As for software, it comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and the device also supports India’s 4G LTE networks and has other usual connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.

The ZTE Axon Mini on the other hand is the more recent of the pair and was announced in October of 2015. The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 616 System-on-Chip backed by an Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can also be expanded a further 256 GB via a microSD card slot. For optics, it packs a 13-megapixel rear facing camera which comes with an LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) while an 8-megapixel camera is visible on the front. The lights on this device are kept on by a 2,800 mAh non-removable battery, the device also sports a fingerprint scanner for added security and eye-scan sensor. For software, the device comes with Android 5.1.1 out of the box and sports the same connectivity options as the ZTE Blade V6. As for pricing, the ZTE Blade V6 is priced at RS 9,999 ($148), while the ZTE Axon Mini is priced at RS 23,599 ($350). Both devices can be purchased from Spice Hotspots in Delhi.
