We’ve seen a number of really powerful devices introduced this year, from Samsung’s Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Note 7, all the way to the Xiaomi Mi 5, OnePlus 3 and the HTC 10. These are, of course, only examples, there are quite a few flagship devices floating around which have been announced this year. That being said, AnTuTu is, next to Geekbench and GFXBench, the most popular benchmarking website which often reveals specifications of smartphones before they’re even announced.
Now, as it is usually the case, AnTuTu tends to release a list of the most powerful devices every now and then, and even though ‘the most powerful’ might be a stretch, AnTuTu does release a list of the top 10 smartphones based on their benchmarking tests, which do not have to reflect real life performance, of course. In any case, AnTuTu has just released one such list for last month, July 2016. We have 10 smartphones on this, and do keep in mind that the Galaxy Note 7 is missing because it was released on August 2nd, and this is a list for last month. Now, if you’d like to check the H1 2016 list before you take a look at the new, refreshed list, click here.
Taking a look at the list released for July, the first three spots remain unchanged, the OnePlus 3, Vivo Xplay 5 and LeEco Le Max 2 are still in the lead, these three devices scored 140,288, 138,706 and 138,026 points, respectively. Now, the top three devices are followed by the Nubia Z11, ZUK Z2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 5, devices which scored 137,685, 136,853 and 136,773 points on AnTuTu last month. The Galaxy S7 Edge has been able to grab the 7th place on this list, as it scored 134,599 points, and is followed by the iPhone 6S, Apple’s handset was able to hit 133,781 points. The last two devices closing out the top 10 list are the ZTE Axon 7 and the iPhone SE, these two phones scored 132,217 and 131,401 points, respectively.
As you can see, these differences are minor, all 10 devices are placed somewhere between 131,000 and 141,000 points, so many people might argue such list are not even necessary, but for those of you who like to check out such info, there you have it.
