Download: 2016 Nexus Marlin & Sailfish Wallpapers Have Leaked

Although the devices are still unannounced, a decent collection of the wallpapers that are supposed to come stock on the upcoming Nexus smartphones from Google and HTC have just been leaked and are available for download. While these are alleged to be from the two upcoming Nexus smartphones, there is no confirmation so far that these have come straight from those devices. Having said that, they do look similar to the style of wallpapers found on the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P as they appear to follow along with same design scheme. These leaked wallpapers follow behind another leak from earlier today regarding the upcoming new launcher for Android 7.0 Nougat which is likely to debut with the 2016 Nexus devices, as well as a separate leaked image of the front of the Nexus Marlin device.

These are reportedly most of and perhaps all of the static wallpapers that are to come on both new Nexus phones, but there is a chance that there may be more. In addition to these static wallpapers, there are also going to be new sets of live wallpapers that may come on the device as well, which will not only feature fresh animations that have not yet been seen by users, but they’ll also reportedly contain functionality, meaning Google is likely going to be putting out functional live wallpapers, something which can be seen from plenty of third party offerings.

With all of the leaks revolving around the two new Nexus devices so far just over the last few days, as well as a rumor from over the weekend which stated that Android 7.0 Nougat may be launching on August 5th, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see Google officially announce both new Nexus devices this week, although there is no concrete information stating that Google has plans for an announcement at this point. Nevertheless, leaks happening this often and this close to a rumored Android 7.0 Nougat launch may suggest as much. The wallpapers found below can be downloaded, although they are not the full, uncompressed images. For those wanting the full size images, they can be grabbed from the source link.
