Hilarious Galaxy Note 7 Ad Features Christoph Waltz

“Busy, busy, busy.” That’s the title of the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ad promoting Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet and starring the famous Austrian-German actor Christoph Waltz. In it, the Oscar-winning star of Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, and Spectre showcases some of the premium features of Galaxy Note 7 while traversing the world and even ends up in space. While dressed as a stay-at-home mom, Waltz draws a parallel between USA’s “tireless ambition” and eternal hunger for achievements and Samsung’s aspirations towards greatness which the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer is trying to translate into its product line. All in all, it’s an extremely entertaining commercial that covers all of the phone’s main features and generally does a good job at generating hype for Samsung’s upcoming phablet. You can watch it for yourself below.

Waltz isn’t the first celebrity hired to promote their devices, not by a long shot. Some of the company’s previous ads also featured the likes of Lil Wayne, Wesley Snipes, James Harden, and William H. Macy. All in all, Samsung is betting a lot on its latest flagship being a commercial success and the marketing budget it’s spending on promoting it is clear evidence of that.

Looking at the device itself, it’s no wonder Samsung has high expectations as it came up with an all-around solid phablet that should appeal to a wide range of consumers. The Galaxy Note 7 features a fantastic 5.7-inch display (2560 x 1440), Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 system-on-chip (SoC), 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It’s also equipped with an SD card slot and two high-quality cameras identical to the ones featured in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. All of that is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery that can be quickly charged via a USB Type-C port. Despite serious hardware, Samsung’s latest flagship isn’t tough to handle and weighs just 169g, which makes it one of the lightest phablets on the market.

Galaxy Note 7 is launching on August 19th and will be available in four colors: Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, Blue Coral, and Black Onyx. Pricing details are yet to be revealed by all US operators but should be available soon.
