Leak: HTC Desire 10 Pro Shown Off in its Full Glory

Just yesterday we learned quite a bit about HTC’s plans for the end of this year. They are looking to unveil two new smartphones that will be in their low-end and mid-range categories, and branded under the “HTC 10” moniker but still being part of the Desire brand. These two devices are the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and HTC Desire 10 Pro. Yesterday, we learned plenty about the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, including a slew of specs for the device. Today, Evleaks has posted a couple of press renders of what the more high-end model, the HTC Desire 10 Pro will look like.

There are press renders of both the black and white models floating around, and it shows us quite a bit about the phone. It appears to not have chamfered edges like the HTC 10, also the camera is in the left corner instead of the middle like the HTC 10. Otherwise, most of the design elements are pretty similar. You’ll also notice that there are capacitive keys for what appears to be back, home and recent apps. Which means there’s no fingerprint sensor on the front. Instead, it is on the back this time around. Similar to most other smartphones coming out these days and what the rumored HTC Nexus devices are supposed to be sporting. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the phone with a SIM card slot on the left. Since we don’t have any specs for the device, it’s tough to say whether that slot will also have a micro SD card slot too.

With the camera, it does appear to protrude just a bit, but not that much. And definitely not as much as the Moto Z or Moto Z Force do. Below the camera there is a dual LED flash and a black area which will likely house laser auto-focus and phase detection auto-focus for the device. Considering the hardware that is on display here, this may be the replacement for the HTC One A9 that the company unveiled last year. It was a higher-end mid-range device. Not quite replacing the HTC One M9, but definitely not a typical mid-range device. The HTC Desire 10 Pro and it’s brother the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle are both due to be launched in September.
