LG V20's New Promo Video Is Quite Odd, But Interesting

The LG V20 is definitely one of the most anticipated smartphones of this year. The LG G5’s sales did not really meet LG’s expectations, and the company is hoping that the V20 will do better out in the market. The LG V10 was introduced about a year ago, and it came with the secondary ‘ticker’ display, which was its main feature, and it seems like the same will happen with the LG V20 as well. In any case, LG had already confirmed that the V20 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and that the phone will launch on September 6th. Interestingly enough, the LG V20 will launch before Google’s new Nexus devices, but according to rumors, it won’t be available before the upcoming Nexus Sailfish and Marlin.

That being said, LG has released a new teaser for the upcoming LG V20 handset. LG USA Mobile’s Twitter account has released this promo video, and in it, they highlight some of LG V20’s upcoming features. This video takes place in the kitchen, which is quite interesting, and the company says that the whole ad has been shot using the V20. To make things ever weirder, the ad compares tasks in the kitchen with features the LG V20 will ship with, like multitasking, for example. Thankfully, we get to see a bit of multitasking on the LG V20 in this video, including switching quickly between applications. Needless to say, the LG V20 will include a number of Nougat’s features, as the ones we’ve just mentioned, though the UI will look different thanks to LG’s custom UI, and some Nougat’s functionality might be altered as well.

Now, multitasking features are not the only ones LG wanted to highlight in this video, they’ve also talked about the drag-and-drop toggles in your Quick Settings menu. In case you’d like to check out this video for yourself, it is embedded down below. The LG V20 is expected to ship with a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch QHD display, along with 4GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery. The 16 and 8-megapixel cameras have been mentioned as V20’s main shooters, and the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will fuel this phablet.
