LG X cam Launched In India For $320

LG launched its X series just before MWC 2016, which took place a few months back. The LG X series was to cater to the mid-range segment of the market and the series consisted of the LG X cam and LG X screen, both of which were launched globally in mid-March. While the series was launched in countries such as South Korea and various other countries in Asia, the series was never released in India, that is till now. Today, LG launched the X cam which comes with dual rear cameras, in India and it is already on sale in the country.

As for the specs of the X cam, the device comes with a 5.2-inch full HD In-cell Touch display. Under the hood, is an undisclosed octa-core System-on-Chip, running at 1.14GHz  and it also comes with a Mali-T720MP3 GPU to handle graphics. As far as storage is concerned, the X cam comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2 TB via a microSD card slot, which happens to be a hybrid dual-SIM card slot. This means you can either make use of two SIM cards, or one SIM card and a microSD card. In terms of optics, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel shooter coupled with a 5-megapixel shooter on the rear, and the second shooter comes with a 120° wide-angle lens. The front packs a 8-megapixel shooter. The camera setup on the X cam comes with a Pop Out Picture feature from LG and it basically captures 6 images and makes it into a moving image.

The X cam packs a multitude of connectivity options, including support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS , 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio. It also comes with a micro USB port to charge the 2520 mAh battery found in the phone. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device. While LG launched four color variants of the phone back in February, India will only be getting the Titan Silver color variant for now. As for pricing and availability, the device is retailing at Rs. 21,500 ($320) on LG’s online store, though there have been reports that the device can be had for as low as Rs. 18,999 ($283).
