Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is now up for pre-order at all four of the major U.S. carriers which includes Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint, for those who were eagerly awaiting the chance to pay for the phone before its official launch later this month on August 19th. While you can simply wait for the device to hit store shelves with and walk out with it in hand, pre-ordering the device does have its advantages, as each carrier (minus Verizon) will be offering up some promotional benefits like a free microSD card or discounts on other devices when purchased alongside the Galaxy Note 7.
Starting things off, the number one carrier in the U.S., Verizon, is offering the Galaxy Note 7 for pre-order at a full retail cost of $864 or it can be picked up for $0 down and $36 a month for 24 months. The upfront cost and monthly pricing varies based on customer qualification, and Verizon has no freebies to give away here, but customers will get a waived $20 activation fee and if they have an older device to trade in they can get up to $300 off the price of the phone with devices shipping by the launch date. T-Mobile customers won’t get the option for the $0 down as the upfront cost will be $69.99, but the monthly payment cost is lower at $32.50 a month, and the phone comes with a lower retail cost as well at $849.99. T-Mobile is giving customers who pre-order the Galaxy Note 7 their choice of a free Gear Fit2 or a free 256GB microSD card, as well as a free 1-year subscription to Netflix just as they did with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
AT&T is offering customers perhaps the best monthly rate, as the phone can be picked up starting at $29.34 a month for 30 months on the Next plan, or $36.67 a month for 24 months on the Next Every Year plan. Both payment plans have the option of $0 down for qualifying customers. The phone is also available at a full retail cost of $879.99 making it the highest full price of all four carriers, and for subscribers that choose to pay for Galaxy Note 7 monthly instead of at full cost, they’ll end up with a Gear S2 and a Galaxy Tab E from the carrier. AT&T states that phones will begin to ship on August 17th.
Lastly there is Sprint, who is offering the Galaxy Note 7 three ways. Subscribers can either pick it up at full retail cost which is $849.99, or they can pick it up at $349.99 after the mail-in rebate, and one final option of paying for the device on a monthly installment plan of $35.42 a month for 24 months with the option for $0 down for qualifying customers. Sprint is also giving some free extras away to those who pre-order, as customers will get their choice of either a free Gear Fit2 or a 256GB microSD card as well as a $20 rewards Visa after the first Samsung Pay purchase is made. There is also no restrictions on how customers can pre-order the device as they can choose to pay for it any way they like and still get the promotional gifts. All four carriers will be offering the phone in Black Onyx, Blue Coral, and Silver Titanium.
