If you’re sporting a Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 and missing the some of the neat features of the Galaxy S7 than there is some good news for you. Samsung has now made the set of features that was previously available only to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, available to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5. These two new features are Game Launcher and Game Tools that were primarily available to only Galaxy S7.
The Game Launcher and Game Tools were first introduced with the launch of the Galaxy S7 to improve the gaming experience. Talking about the first feature: Game Launcher, it acts like a launcher which displays all the installed games on the user’s device in one place – much like an app launcher does with apps. The Game Launcher makes it easier to find your favorite games by putting your all games in one place, so you don’t have to juggle through the app drawer to find your favorite game, just open the Game launcher and open your game right away. The other feature, Game Tools is aimed at improving user experience inside the game. The Game Tools provides set of options such as, the ability to record player’s gameplay, which can be shared with friends or can be uploaded directly to YouTube. The Game Tools also gives the option to disable the capacitive keys, to prevent the user from accidentally quitting the game. The user can also block notifications while playing the game so that they can focus better on the gameplay. Though most of these features can be easily found on third-party apps, it’s always great to have them built in. On top of that, Game Launcher is expected to receive major overhaul via an update, that will add some extra functionality such as, manual sorting of installed games and will make it easier to share recorded game videos on social networks.
Given that you’re owning the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy Note 5 and want to try out these features, you will have to head over to the Samsung’s own Galaxy app store. Also, note that you only need to download the Game Launcher while the Game Tools can be downloaded directly within the Game Launcher. Also, you will need to restart the device first time, after you install these features, to makes it work.
