New LG V20 Teaser Is Live, Hints At Improved Audio Features

LG had introduced two flagship smartphones last year, the LG G4 and the LG V10. The LG V10 was one of the more interesting devices last year, mainly because it sported two displays, the main panel, and the secondary ‘ticker’ display above it. The LG V10 was a breath of fresh air in the smartphone market, and considering that LG G5’s sales are not all that great, the LG V20 is expected to improve LG’s situation in the smartphone market. The LG V20 is going to be announced on September 6th, LG had confirmed earlier this month, and it will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The device will be announced in San Francisco, as per official info, and we’ve already seen the device leak in a number of images, and its specifications have surfaced as well.

That being said, LG has just released a new teaser for the LG V20 launch. This teaser was posted on LG’s official Korean website, and if you look at the provided image above, you’ll get to see the teaser itself. September 7th is listed as the release date in Seoul (due to time difference), and along with the date, you also get to see a microphone in the middle of this image. Now, the very first thing that came to our mind when we’ve seen this microphone was ‘LG is hinting at new audio features on the LG V20’, and that’s quite probably an accurate assumption, not many things come to mind when you spot a microphone other than they company is hinting at some sort of new and / or improved audio features. It is also worth mentioning that LG had already confirmed that the V20 will ship with a 32-bit Hi-Fi quad DAC for audio. In any case, we’re still about two weeks away from LG V20’s launch event, so chances are we’ll see plenty more leaked info by then, and same can be said for official teasers as well.

Now, as far as the phone’s design and specs are concerned, you can click here to check out its leaked renders. We don’t know how accurate is this leak, so take it with a grain of salt, as per usual. If it is accurate, however, then the LG V20 won’t exactly resemble the LG V10 in terms of the design, it actually looks more like the LG G5 than the LG V20, which might be a good or a bad thing, depending on which design you prefer. The LG V20 is expected to ship with a 5.7-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 SoC. The 21-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this back (if the leaks are to be believed), while two 8-megapixel snappers might be included on the front side of this smartphone.
