Google is expected to introduce their new Nexus devices next month. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P were introduced in September last year, and we’ve already seen tons of leaks regarding the upcoming HTC Nexus Sailfish and Nexus Marlin, two devices which are supposed to be successors to the Nexus 5X and 6P. That being said, these two phones are going to be manufactured by HTC, and both of them have been certified by the FCC recently. The Nexus Sailfish, the more affordable of the two, had popped up on AnTuTu earlier this month, and it’s time for the Nexus Marlin to shine, read on.
The Nexus Marlin just popped up on AnTuTu as well it seems. The two listings are quite similar actually, the only difference seems to be in display resolution, the Nexus Marlin will ship with a QHD (2560 x 1440) panel according to AnTuTu, unlike Nexus Sailfish which will sport a fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. The listing also reveals / confirms that the Nexus Marlin will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC, and the Adreno 530 GPU which will be in charge of graphics processing. The phone will also pack in 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (additional storage variants are a possibility, of course), while Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, of course. The 13-megapixel camera is listed on AnTuTu, though this will probably be the same 12.3-megapixel sensor we’ve seen in the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P last year. The 8-megapixel snapper is going to be located on the front side of the Nexus Marlin, presuming this listing is accurate, of course.
That is more or less it as far as AnTuTu info goes. This listing more or less confirms everything we’ve seen thus far, all that remains at this point is for Google to finally introduce their two new Nexus smartphones. In addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that both of the upcoming Nexus devices are expected to be made out of metal and glass, though we’ll see how accurate hose rumors are. As already mentioned, the two devices will get announced next month, though we still don’t know when exactly, but as soon as some additional information comes our way, we’ll make sure to let you know, as per usual.
