OPPO F1s Leaks With A 16-Megapixel Selfie Shooter

OPPO might not be the best known China-based smartphone manufacturer, but this company has been immensely successful lately. OPPO had managed to sell 50 million smartphones last year, which is not something most people expected, and their sales are still quite strong. If Kevin Wang, IHS analyst, is to be believed, OPPO has claimed the second spot in China during Q2 this year. Huawei had managed to sell 32.16 million smartphones during the second quarter, while OPPO shipped out 21,90 million, which essentially means they claimed the second place, and are ahead of both Vivo (16.41 million) and Xiaomi (15.22 million).

That being said, OPPO had introduced a number of smartphones in the last year or so, though their OPPO R7, R7 Plus, R9 and R9 Plus handsets are definitely the best selling ones. The OPPO F1 and F1 Plus (which is essentially the OPPO R9, but it comes with a different name) handsets have been announced back in January this year in India, and it seems like a new F1 variant is coming. The OPPO F1s surfaced quite recently, and showed off both its front and back side design. This smartphone is actually expected to launch in India tomorrow, and it will resemble its siblings quite a bit. As you can see, this is a full metal handset, which will sport a physical home button up front. Now, if rumors are to be believed, the OPPO F1s will sport a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable native storage. The phone will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6750 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,075mAh battery will also be a part of the package. The phone’s physical home key will double as a fingerprint scanner, and you’ll also get the company’s Super VOOC fast charge technology. Now, as far as camera sensors are concerned, the OPPO F1s is expected to ship with a 13-megapixel rear-facing, and a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter.

The OPPO F1s resembles OPPO F1 and F1 Plus quite a bit, at least if this leak is to believed, and if the pricing is right, it might appeal to Indian consumers. Do keep in mind that this design is not confirmed just yet, but chances are it will be confirmed tomorrow, so stay tuned for that.
