While the Galaxy Note 7 is the newest flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge still remain the company’s current flagship models for their popular Galaxy S series of smartphones. As is the case with Samsung smartphones in general, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are already available in a variety of colors and the next color which is due to become available in the US will be the Pink Gold edition.
Samsung has today announced that the Pink Gold version of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be available to buy in the US from August 28. However, both Pink Gold devices will only be available to buy from Best Buy for now, with no details on whether it will become available through alternative retailers in the future. Either way though, if you are interested in picking up a new Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in Pink Gold and in the US, then Best Buy will be the place to do so and August 28 (Sunday) will be the time when you can. To sweeten the deal a little more, Samsung and Best Buy have also confirmed that those who do purchase and activate either of the Pink Gold Galaxy S7 models will also receive a $150 Best Buy gift card for free.
Besides the color, the rest of what is on offer with the Pink Gold Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is the same as the already-available models. Meaning, this is a smartphone which comes packing a serious spec list including the likes of 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Cameras on offer come in the form of a 16-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. With the major notable differences between the two models (besides the sloping edges of the Edge variant) being that the Samsung Galaxy S7 comes packing a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and a 3,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S7 Edge comes packing a 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a 3,600 mAh battery. As mentioned, both Pink Gold editions will be available from Best Buy and from August 28.
