The Google Play Store is home to many, many apps at this point, and there are quite a few image editing applications available as well. No matter what sort of an image editing app you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it in the Google Play Store. Snapseed, Fotor, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, PicSay and PhotoGrid are all image editing apps, and yet they’re not exactly the same, they’re quite different in fact. Well, if you’re looking for a somewhat different image editing app, then Prisma is the way to go, read on.
Prisma has been available on iOS for quite some time now, and it had landed on Android just recently after being available in beta for a short period of time. That being said, Prisma is a rather unique app, you can call it an image editing app with the help of filters, but these are not exactly regular filters we’re talking about, these filters actually re-work the image completely from the ground up, they’re not just an overlay on top of the image, like the vast majority of other apps are. Anyhow, the filter-adding process using Prisma used to be rather slow, but the company has improved that in the latest update we’re here to talk about. In addition to that, the app now allows you to crop and rotate photos, and you can also control the blend between the original image and the filtered version Prisma created. Now, we’ve mentioned that the app is now fast, well, we have to underline this because it’s extremely fast now, just like any other regular filter-adding app basically.
These are some useful features the developers have added here, and if they keep this up, Prisma could become even more powerful before long. There are quite a few features they could include in this app, like custom filters and video editing for example, but we won’t go ahead of ourselves, let’s just enjoy the app as it is now, and hope we’ll get more features soon. The update is now live, and if it is not available on your device just yet, it will be soon, that’s for sure.
