Redmi 4 & Redmi Note 4 Teasers Are Here, Launching Aug. 25th

Xiaomi is one of the most popular China-based smartphone manufacturers, and if you’re following what’s going on with this company, you’re probably aware that they’ve introduced a number of devices this year. Most of those devices belong under Xiaomi’s ‘Redmi’ sub-brand, which essentially means those are mostly budget mid-range devices. Xiaomi had sold over 110 million Redmi units thus far, and the Redmi 3 and Redmi Note 3 are also amongst the devices that were introduced this year. Both of these devices were announced back in January, and their successors have been leaking online for quite some time now, read on.

The Redmi 4 leaked quite a few times this year, and the device is actually rumored to arrive on August 25th, as is the Redmi Note 4 which also surfaced a couple of times in the last few weeks. That being said, it seems like the rumors were accurate. China Mobile, one of China’s largest carriers, has released what seem to be the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 teasers. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see those images, and if you take a closer look at them, you’ll notice that the August 25th release date is also included. Now, both the Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 are already certified in China, both devices went through the certification procedure quite recently, and thanks to TENAA’s (China’s equivalent to the FCC) documents, we more or less know what specifications to expect out of both of these devices.

If TENAA is to be believed, the Redmi 4 will sport a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, while the Adreno 506 GPU will also be included here. The 13-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the device, and a 5-megapixel camera will be available up front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come out of the box here, and on top of it, you’ll get Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS. The 4,000mAh battery will be here to make sure you don’t run out of juice ahead of time, and the phone will weigh 160 grams. The Redmi Note 4, on the other hand, will come with a 5.5-inch fullHD display, 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 64GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core SoC will fuel this device, and a 13-megapixel snapper will be included on the back. The Redmi Note 4 will sport the same software as the Redmi 4, and will also ship with a 4,000mAh battery.
