The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is one of two smartphones that the Taiwanese manufacturer is supposedly going to be announcing at IFA this year (which takes place in just a couple weeks). They are two new Desire smartphones in the low-end and mid-range spectrum, touting the HTC 10’s branding – their 2016 flagship that launched earlier this year. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle has just had some more of its specs outed, including the price tag. Which isn’t anything specific, just that it’ll be priced between $150 and $200.
LlabTooFeR who is a pretty reliable source when it comes to upcoming HTC devices, has noted on Twitter that the device will be sporting a Snapdragon 400-series processor. The specific processor wasn’t not named, but it likely isn’t the Snapdragon 400, since that is quite old at this point. It’s probably going to be sporting the Snapdragon 430 or 435, which is a bit newer, and will have better support in the future than the older Snapdragon 400. Other rumored specs include a 5.5-inch 720p LCD display, which also has 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. For cameras, the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is slated to sport a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is going to sport BoomSound HiFi Edition stereo speakers, and will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Of course, that will also be underneath HTC’s latest version of Sense, their own custom UI.
As you’d expect, the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle won’t look as high-end as the HTC Desire 10 Pro, due to its much lower price tag, but still pretty respectable specs. Currently there’s no word on when either of these devices will actually make their way to carriers nor what regions they will be available in. When it comes to the US, we’ll likely see one or both of these head to prepaid carriers like MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, or Cricket. Keep in mind that all of the specs that have leaked out so far are just that, leaks. So it’s important to take everything with a grain of salt, at least for now. The devices should be announced in just a couple weeks time, though.
