Sprint Announces Availability Of The Galaxy Note 7

Sprint has announced that they will be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 officially, following Samsung’s unveiling of the device today at their Unpacked event. After weeks of speculation, rumors, and leaks on the Galaxy Note 7 circling around the internet, the phone has now been made official and it will begin its journey towards U.S. and global availability. Although the device is set to hit U.S. store shelves at most major retailers on August 19th, which Sprint have confirmed will be the case for their own stores and website, the pre-orders will begin a little bit earlier for those who want to get a head start on picking up the next big thing from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders on Sprint will begin tomorrow on August 3rd, although at the moment Sprint has not yet mentioned pricing for the phone. There will only be one storage size variant so while there will be different prices that people pay based on how they decide to pay for it, there will be a single retail cost. Sprint will offer the phone at full cost as well as on their monthly installment plans with a payment each month in addition to the phone bill until the phone is paid off.

The Galaxy Note 7 comes packed with powerful specifications as it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU for the graphics processing, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage is also expandable via microSD card up to 256GB for those that need more space. The Galaxy Note 7 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which Corning boasts is able to prevent damage from drops up to 80 percent of the time. There will be a 12MP dual pixel camera sensor on the back featuring dual-LED flash, OIS, and phase detection autofocus, as well as a 5MP front facing camera for selfies and video chat. The phone and the S Pen will feature an IP68 rating making it water resistant and dust resistant. Those who are interested in pre-ordering the Galaxy Note 7 on Sprint’s network will be able to do so via Sprint’s website once the page goes live tomorrow.
