T-Mobile (like the other three carriers) opened up pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on August 3rd. Just a day after the device was announced at an Unpacked event in New York City. The Galaxy Note 7 is due to launch globally tomorrow, August 19th. However, that doesn’t mean that everyone has to wait until tomorrow to get their hands on the brand new Galaxy Note 7. As has been the case with most recent smartphone launches, those that pre-ordered through T-Mobile are getting their Galaxy Note 7 early. Many have taken to Twitter to announce that they have received their Galaxy Note 7 already. A full 24 hours before it officially launches.
If you pre-ordered the Galaxy Note 7 from T-Mobile, then you should be receiving it today, and if not, you’ll definitely get it tomorrow – providing, you did get a tracking number already, meaning that yours has shipped. Verizon has also started shipping their Galaxy Note 7’s to those that pre-ordered, however, there’s no word on whether customers have started receiving them just yet. No word on whether AT&T and Sprint have started shipping yet, but they should be shipping tonight with them arriving tomorrow.
For those that may need a refresher, the Galaxy Note 7 is Samsung’s seventh Galaxy Note smartphone (if you count the Galaxy Note Edge that was released alongside the Galaxy Note 4 in 2014). It is also their latest flagship device and one of the most expensive smartphones ever released on carriers. The Galaxy Note 7 costs around $849, depending on what carrier you’re buying it from, and it sports some of the highest-end specs available right now. The device sports a Quad HD Super AMOLED 5.7-inch display, and it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (while the Exynos 8890 is used in other regions). Additionally, Samsung has loaded it up with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, not to mention the 3500mAh battery that is inside and its 12-megapixel camera around back. The specs are mostly the same as the Galaxy S7 launched earlier this year. Of course, there are a few key differences, like having Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the display, as well as having the S Pen available. Which, fortunately, cannot be inserted backwards this year. That was a pretty big issue for Samsung last year with the Galaxy Note 5.
