Coolpad is one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in China. This company has been around for a long time now, and they’re pushing their products towards India more often now in order to expand their market. Coolpad had introduced the Coolpad Note 3 back in October last year (came to India in May 2016), and that handset was followed by the Note 3 Lite and Note 3 Plus smartphones. That being said, all of these devices were mid-range offerings by the company, and Coolpad has just introduced a successor to the Coolpad Note 3, the Coolpad Note 4.
The Coolpad Note 4 is, much like its predecessor, a metal-clad mid-range smartphone, though this handset belongs in the upper-mid-range category due to its build and specs. The Coolpad Note 4 features a 5.5-inch fullHD fully laminated display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 1.5GHz, and the Adreno 405 GPU is included here for graphics rendering. The 13-megapixel camera (5P lens, f/2.2 aperture) can be found on the back of this smartphone, and an 8-megapixel snapper (f/2.2 aperture, 80.1-degree wide-angle lens) is placed on its front side. The 4,010mAh battery is also included here, and it is not removable, while this phone also comes with two SIM card slots. The Coolpad Note 4 measures 152 x 75.7 x 8.85mm, while it weighs 173.4 grams, which doesn’t exactly make it the lightest phone around. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll find the company’s Cool UI 8.0.
This is a metal unibody smartphone, and it sports a fingerprint scanner on its back. There are three capacitive buttons placed below its display, overview, home and back, respectively. The phone comes in Noble Black and Champagne Gold color variants, while it is priced at Rs. 10,999 ($165) in India, and it will be available exclusively through Amazon India soon.
