As most of you know, Elephone is a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, but not exactly a high profile company, as Huawei or Xiaomi, for example. This company releases quite a few smartphones a year though, as well as some other tech gadgets, and then sells them through Chinese resellers, which ship them all over the world. The company’s Elephone P9000 smartphone has been quite popular ever since it launched, mainly because of its sleek design, solid specs, and low price point. The Elephone S7 is a Galaxy S7 Edge look-alike which has been teased by the company earlier today, and now some new info leaked, yet another Elephone-branded smartphone seems to be on the way.
The company has decided to share some info regarding the upcoming Elephone C1 smartphone. Elephone basically confirmed via social media that the device will be released soon (they did not release a specific date though), and have also listed some of its specs. The Elephone C1 will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be made out of metal. On top of all that, the phone will ship with a dual-LED flash on the back, and will ship in Dark Blue and Gold color variants. The fingerprint scanner will be available on its back as well, as you can see in the provided images, and the company will include three capacitive buttons below the display, overview, home and back, respectively. Elephone’s branding will be placed on the back of the device as well, and its camera will protrude on the back ever so slightly.
The power / lock and volume rocker buttons are placed on the left-hand side of the Elephone C1, and the SIM card slot is located on its right side. The microUSB port (USB 2.0) is located on the bottom of the device, and is flanked by speaker grills, though chances are Elephone will include only one speaker there, while the other set of holes are reserved for Elephone C1’s microphone. That is more or less it, all we can do at this point is wait for the company to officially unveil this smartphone, stay tuned.
