Lenovo could have a new 7-inch tablet on the way called the Tab 3 7 Plus, armed with specs that would likely make it designed for those wanting something a little more capable of delivering performance compared to a 7-inch budget tablet it launched earlier this year. According to a series of new leaks that have hit the web today, the new tablet will come with a 7-inch display that carries a resolution of 1280 x 720 and use the IPS screen technology. The images leaked alongside the specs also show that the tablet will come in two color variations, which include a black and a white model, both adorned with a blue accent that follow along the edge of the display.
Aside from the colors and the screen information the Lenovo Tab 3 7 Plus is also rumored to come powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapragon 410 processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. For internal storage space the tablet is tipped to have 16GB, although it’s also mentioned that it will have a microSD card slot which means that it will support expandable storage on top of what’s available internally, so users will be able to push past that 16GB of space if they need to.
Additional specs listed were Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the software version, and although it is fairly minimal, consumers can likely expect Lenovo’s software UI skin to be layered on top of the Android software. When it comes to the battery, the leak states that it is likely to come with a 3,500mAh battery inside, which doesn’t seem like much for a tablet, but considering the Tab 3 7 Plus is said to come with a 7-inch display and that the resolution is less than Full HD, it’s very possible that 3,500mAh will be more than enough to carry it through a number of days. While there is no confirmation on the cost just yet, nor on the tablet itself, the leak suggests that the Tab 3 7 Plus will cost around €119 for a Wi-Fi only model, while a 3G model is also expected but at a slightly higher €150. Of course, those looking for something truly high-end from Lenovo should look more towards the Yoga Tab 3 Plus that was announced at IFA.
