LG V20 with Android Nougat is Heading to T-Mobile

The first Android smartphone to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat, is finally official. It’s the LG V20. It shares quite a few characteristics with the LG G5, but it is not modular. However, it does have a removable battery as well as having four DACs for some crazy clear audio coming from the internal speaker on the smartphone. Those of you that are on T-Mobile, will be happy to know that it is indeed coming to the Un-carrier. However, they have not mentioned when or how much it’ll cost. That information will be shared at a later date. The pricing will likely be pretty similar to the LG G5, when that launched in April on T-Mobile.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 is what is powering the LG V20. That’s a quad-core processor, and is paired with the Adreno 530 GPU for some pretty amazing graphics. Definitely a nice perk for anyone that plays graphic-intensive games on their smartphones. The LG V20 does sport a 5.7-inch 2560×1440 resolution display – which gives you 515 pixels per inch. There’s 4GB of RAM inside for all of your multi-tasking needs, as well as 64GB of internal storage. Not to mention there is a micro SD card slot that supports up to 256GB of storage, which is located just above the removable battery.

LG has really taken their cameras to the next level on the LG V20. There are three cameras again, but instead of having two on the front – like the LG V10 had – there are two on the back, like the LG G5 featured. There’s a 16-megapixel shooter, as well as an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter. With the front-facing camera being a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor. The company has included what they are calling “Steady Shot 2.0” for getting those steady shots when your hand isn’t so steady. This uses the gyro for EIS, which means you are getting real-time stabilization for video on the LG V20. Laser auto-focus is still here, and that is paired with phase detection auto-focus and contrast auto-focus.

T-Mobile should be opening up their pre-registration page for the LG V20 in the next couple of weeks. But for now, that is not yet available and neither is a release date.
