Android 7.0 Nougat Information:
The Android 7.0 Nougat was introduced on March 9th 2016, though back then, Google used only the ‘Android N’ naming (and released the first Developer Preview of the OS), the company has unveiled the OS’ full name and version in June 2016. Android 7.0 Nougat is the 11th iteration of Google’s Android OS, it follows the Android 1.6 Donut, 2.0 Eclair, 2.2 Froyo, 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.0 Honeycomb, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.1 JellyBean, 4.4 KitKat, 5.0 / 5.1 Lollipop, and 6.0 Marshmallow. As part of this update, Google basically decided to refine what they already built with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Android 7.0 Nougat brings tons of optimizations to the OS, but it also packs a number of new features as well. Doze has been much improved here, and will basically activate the moment you turn off your phone’s display, while it took 30 minutes of screen on time for it to activate in Android 5.1 Lollipop. Google had also introduced the ‘Multi-Window’ multi-tasking with this update, and also some neat multi-tasking features, you can now quickly tap twice on the overview button in order to get back to the last app you used. The notification system has also been revamped by the company, you can now access individual e-mails through the notification shade, for example. Speaking of notifications, ‘Quick Reply’ functionality is built into this version of Android as well, you can quickly reply to the messages that have arrived and then do whatever you were doing until that point. There are a number of other additions to the OS, and you can read more about them in the articles down below.

Android 7.0 Nougat Editor Rating:
Android 7.0 Nougat is a significant improvement over Android 5.1 Lollipop, even though many people consider it to be just a slight refinement. This is yet another coat of polish on top of already great platform, and thanks to Android 7.0 Nougat, the whole platform became much more useful. The ‘Multi-View’ feature has been requested by a lot of people, and will be quite useful, and the all-new Doze model will make sure your battery lasts quite a bit longer than it has up until now. There are tons of such refinements in Android 7.0 Nougat, and not to mention that Google added Vulkan API here, which should make the whole OS even faster than it was. Only time will tell how good is Android 7.0 Nougat, but it looks really good thus far.
