Report: Galaxy Note 7 To Relaunch In India On October 7th

Samsung is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, that’s not exactly a secret. This company had introduced some interesting smartphones this year, but their flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, along with the flagship Galaxy Note 7 phablet, are definitely the most interesting ones. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been immensely successful for the company, and it seemed like the Galaxy Note 7 will be as well, but things have gone horribly wrong for that handset. A portion of Galaxy Note 7 units were shipped with malfunctioning battery packs, which resulted in various battery explosions all over the world, and Samsung had to recall the device soon after it started shipping to consumers. Samsung had shipped out a number of new units to consumers already, but not in every region, only in specific ones, like the US, for example. Well, it seems like some additional regions will follow soon, read on.

We’re here to talk about India in specific, as it seems like the company plans to relaunch the Galaxy Note 7 in the country on October 7th, at least according to the latest report. If the source is to be believed, this Korea-based giant will relaunch the Galaxy Note 7 in India on the same day Apple plans to launch their new iPhone 7 offerings in the country. The Galaxy Note 7 was originally announced in India back in August, soon after it was announced globally, and it was supposed to become available in India on September 2nd, but due to the recall, it never has. The source also claims that the units that are going to become available in India will be newly-manufactured, which is quite interesting, this essentially means that Samsung won’t be shipping refurbished units or anything of the sort. In addition to all this, it seems like Samsung is planning to go all out when it comes to this launch, and spend tons of cash advertising the Galaxy Note 7 in India.

For those of you who are unaware, the Galaxy Note 7 is made out of metal and glass, while it sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED Dual Edge display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core SoC in India, while it also comes in the Snapdragon 820 variant in some other markets. The 3,500mAh battery is also a part of this package, and so is a 12-megapixel camera which is placed on the back of this phone.
