Lenovo had introduced quite a few devices under the ‘Moto’ brand this year. The Moto G4 and G4 Plus were announced earlier, and same can be said for the Moto Z, Moto Z Force and the Moto Z Play. Well, the company had also introduced the Moto G4 Play this year, which happens to be the most affordable Moto-branded smartphone that arrived in 2016. The Moto G4 Play was introduced back in May, and Amazon India recently confirmed that the device will become available in India on September 6th, read on.
As promised, the Moto G4 Play will be available in India later today it seems. The Moto G4 Play follows Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus’ lead, and will be available for purchase in India as Amazon India’s exclusive. The device becomes available starting today, and you’ll be able to purchase it directly from Amazon India starting at 10PM today (local time) for Rs. 8,999 ($135). As you can see, the device is quite affordable, as we’ve expected. India’s Moto G4 Play sports the same specifications as the international model which was introduced back in May. This device sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM (1GB RAM variant is also available internationally) and 16GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC, along with the Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. The 8-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the phone, while a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll find a number of Moto-branded applications. The 2,800mAh battery is also included in this package, and the device will, allegedly, going to be available in Black and White color variants. The phone measures 144.4 x 72 x 9.9mm, while it weighs 137 grams.
