The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is definitely Samsung’s most talked-about handset lately. This smartphone launched last month, and the company had to recall it due to battery issues. Even though only a tiny portion of the Galaxy Note 7 units are affected by such issues, quite a few reports surfaced lately. While Samsung is planning how to make up for such issues, it seems like they’re also planning to introduce a new tablet, read on.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has been introduced earlier this year, and a new version of that tablet has been rumored for quite some time now. This new version of the tablet is expected to ship with the S Pen stylus, and had surfaced last month. Well, this tablet has leaked once again, and these seem to be official renders that leaked ahead of time, or at least something really close to it. There are a couple of images included in the gallery down below, and they pretty much reveal what will the new Galaxy A 10.1 (2016) tablet look like, as they show off the device from almost every angle. This new version of the tablet seems to be identical to the already available model, aside from the fact it will ship with the S Pen stylus. The power / lock and volume rocker keys will be placed on the right-hand side of this tablet, while you’ll notice a physical home key is located below the display, which is placed in-between two capacitive keys. This setup is nothing new, we’re used to seeing this from Samsung’s devices, smartphones and tablets alike. The company’s branding is placed above the display, and this tablet will be quite thin, while its rear-facing camera will protrude ever so slightly.
This tablet is expected to ship with a 10.1-inch display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device will be fueled by the Exynos 7870 SoC running at 1.6GHz, and a 7,300mAh battery will be included here as well. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this tablet, and Samsung’s custom UI will be placed on top of it. Now, this tablet is also expected to ship with the S Pen stylus, even though the pen is not pictured here, but previous leaks did show it off. This S Pen is expected to be identical to the one included with the Galaxy Note 7, and chances are all the S Pen software features we’ve seen on the Galaxy Note 7 will come pre-installed on this tablet as well. We’re waiting for Samsung to officially announce this device, and that will probably happen soon, stay tuned.
