The Samsung Galaxy C9 has been all over the news in the last 24 hours. Samsung’s upcoming handset had first popped up on Geekbench yesterday, and then soon after that it surfaced on AnTuTu. At that point we already knew most of its specifications, but for those of you who are still not convinced what specs this smartphone is going to sport, well, the device has just surfaced on yet another benchmarking site, you guessed it, the Samsung Galaxy C9 has paid a visit to GFXBench as well, read on.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 will be the third ‘Galaxy C’ smartphone Samsung will announce, as the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 were introduced earlier this year. Anyhow, according to GFXBench, the Galaxy C9 will sport a 6-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. GFXBench is the third benchmarking site that reports 6GB of RAM for this smartphone, and it seems like it’s happening, this mid-range handset will offer more RAM than the company’s flagships. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.0GHz will fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 510 GPU. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this handset, and even though GFXBench does not reveal it, the 16-megapixel shooter will be available on the front side of this handset as well. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will ship out of the box here, and on top of it, you’ll get Samsung custom UI, of course.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 will be made out of metal, just like the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. The Galaxy C9 will actually sport a very similar design to its siblings, though it will come in a larger form factor, of course. The physical home key will be placed below the display, and it will double as a fingerprint scanner, as is the case with a number of other Galaxy-branded smartphones. We’re still not sure when will Samsung officially announce this smartphone, but chances are that it will happen soon, so stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as new info pops up, as per usual.
