The Galaxy C9 is Samsung’s upcoming phablet. This handset will join the likes of the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, two devices that were introduced earlier this year. The Galaxy C5 was actually the first ‘Galaxy C’ smartphone to ever see the light of day, and it sports a 5.2-inch display. The Galaxy C7, on the other hand, arrived with a somewhat larger, 5.7-inch panel, and the Galaxy C9 is expected to ship a 6-inch display. The Galaxy C9 had surfaced two times on Zauba, and it actually popped up on Geekbench earlier today. Well, this handset has just surfaced on yet another benchmarking site, read on.
Samsung’s upcoming phablet has paid a visit to AnTuTu as well, and this listing actually shares more info regarding the phone’s specs. According to AnTuTu, the Galaxy C9 (SM-C9000) will sport a fullHD display, though the listing does not mention what size will the display be. This phone will pack in 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 652 SoC, along with the Adreno 510 GPU, just as we thought. The 16-megapixel camera will be placed on the back of this device, and you’ll be able to find a 16-megapixel snapper on the front as well, though we still don’t know whether we’re looking at the same exact sensors here. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the Galaxy C9, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Samsung’s custom UI, of course.
That’s pretty much all the info we were able to get out of AnTuTu, but things look much clearer now. The Galaxy C9 will be made out of metal, just like its Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 siblings. Samsung’s well-known physical home key will be placed below the phone’s display, and it will double as a fingerprint scanner. We still do not know how much will this phone cost, but we do know that it will launch in China, as it is made for the Chinese market. In any case, you can expect this phablet to cost more than the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, and it is also worth mentioning that it will be the first Samsung-branded smartphone to sport 6GB of RAM it seems. Stay tuned for additional info, Samsung is expected to introduce this phablet really soon.
