Several New Galaxy Folder 2 Images Surface

Samsung is definitely no stranger to experimenting when it comes to smartphone design and features. The company’s Galaxy Note line is now immensely popular all over the world, while people were laughing at the sheer size of the 1st-gen Galaxy Note handset back in 2011. Flip phone devices (cell phones) were quite popular before smartphones became a thing, while that’s not the case any longer. Not many companies released a flip phone smartphone thus far, while Samsung had released several such devices. The Galaxy Folder had arrived last year, and it seems like the Galaxy Folder 2 might land soon.

This smartphone has been leaking for a while now, we’ve seen several Galaxy Folder 2 leaks in recent weeks, and the device has even been certified by both TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) and the FCC. Just as we though the device will launch soon, and we won’t see any more leaks, another leak popped up. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Galaxy Folder 2 in the flesh. Much like every other design leak that surfaced thus far, this is also a gold-colored smartphone, and it seems that will be the only available color variant, at least if TENAA’s info is to be believed. As you can see in one of the images, the device managed to score 23,434 points on AnTuTu, which is not exactly a high score, but this is an entry-level phone, so keep that in mind.

The Galaxy Folder 2 will sport a 3.8-inch 800 x 480 display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core SoC, along with the Adreno 308 GPU. The 8-megapixel camera will be included on its back, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper up front. The 2,000mAh battery will keep the lights on, and we’re still not sure what materials Samsung used in order to build this smartphone, but it would be nice to see some metal mixed in. The phone’s speaker will be placed on the back of the device, and the volume rocker keys are placed on the phone’s left-hand side.
