VerveLife, the brand of devices that were designed by Motorola in partnership with Binatone have just announced a new device called the VerveCam+ at IFA this week, an action cam that will cost consumers just $199 to purchase once it launches, which unfortunately has not been mentioned at this time. Having said that, at least consumers know what they’ll be paying for this particular device should they decide that they want to buy it, which is a good thing as they can immediately start weighing out their options in comparison to other action cams in regards to the cost. While this is listed at $199.99 on the VerveLife U.S. website, it will also be available for € 199,99 according to VerveLife, which means it will be available in Europe although they do not mention whether or not it’ll be across all or most of Europe or in just a few countries.
As an action cam, the VerveCam+ comes with the kind of treatment you would expect of such a device, as it was designed in a way that appears would make it accessible and easy to use during any sort of activity where an action cam might be desired. A collection of different accessory cases will be available alongside the VerveCam+ to enhance the experience, such as a bumper case that comes with a lanyard to protect it if dropped and to help prevent from dropping it, as well as a universal mount case, an IP68 rated waterproof housing, and a clear case that has a clip on the back that will allow users to attach it to just about anything from pants pockets to bags and backpacks.
The VerveCam+ actually appears similar to the VerveCam that was shown off back during Mobile World Congress earlier this year, with the only difference seemingly being the “+” that’s present in the name. Beyond that, at least one of the accessories – the bumper and lanyard – looks to be the same as do many of the features, like the 2.5k HD motion video recording, down to the water-resistant IP67 rating and even the design of the camera itself. The VerveCam+ is just 28mm thin and 56mm in diameter, and it connects to smartphones via Bluetooth low energy, although it can also connect to Wi-Fi networks. The VerveCam+ can also be used for things like livecasting, and it has the ability to edit photos and video as well as stabilize video with the built-in video stabilizer, and it allows for real-time livestreaming to YouTube. The VerveCam+ is part of a range of products in the VerveLife lineup, such as the VerveOnes+ wireless earbuds that we recently reviewed back in July.
