The Xiaomi Mi 5s has been leaking for weeks now. This is Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone, and the company had already confirmed that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 by releasing the device’s AnTuTu score. In addition to that, Xiaomi had also confirmed that the phone will sport two camera sensors on the back, and the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, had released Mi 5s’ first camera sample a couple of days ago. That being said, this smartphone will be introduced tomorrow, September 27th, and quite a few new leaks have popped up in China, read on.
First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that both the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus had been mentioned in recent leaks. The Mi 5s will, allegedly, ship with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Mi 5s Plus is said to come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Having that in mind, If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see quite a few new pieces of leaked content. The first image in the gallery shows off the alleged Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus in the flesh (the two devices will look the same). The Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus resemble the Mi 5 quite a bit, but it seems like the physical home button is gone, the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner (Qualcomm’s Sense ID) will replace it, and will be located below the display. The second image in the gallery shows off the Mi 5s’ back side, and you can clearly see the dual camera setup located there, along with the company’s logo. This handset will be made out of metal and glass, just like the Mi 5, and that is quite visible in the second image, as the phone sports the same design as the Mi 5 (curved glass back, though chances are that the Mi 5s Plus will come with a ceramic back).
The third image in the gallery more or less suggests that the Mi 5s will sport a pressure sensitive display, while the fourth image says that the phone will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and MIUI 8 OS which will be installed on top of Google’s OS. The fifth image down below lets you take a look at the retail packaging of the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, while the last two images show off Xiaomi Mi 5s’ promotional posters it seems.
