Xperia X & Xperia Z5 Premium Get Huge Discounts In India

Sony had released a new series of devices back in February when the company announced the Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance in Barcelona. Two out of those three phones have been launched in India back in May, the Xperia X and Xperia XA. We do not have the exact sales numbers for those devices, but the company has decided to discount one of them in the country, along with their 2015 flagship, read on.

Sony Mobile has announced that the Xperia X and Xperia Z5 Premium are now considerably cheaper in India. The Xperia X is now Rs. 10,000 ($151) more affordable than it was back when it launched, the phone now costs Rs. 38,990 ($587). The Xperia Z5 Premium is now also considerably more affordable, almost a year after its launch in India, the phone gets a Rs. 8,000 ($121) discount, it now costs Rs. 47,990 ($723) in India. Do keep in mind that these two phones can be purchased for even less in retail stores, you can get the Xperia X for as low as Rs. 36,900 ($556), while the Xperia Z5 Premium can be purchased for Rs. 44,900 ($676). The Xperia XA kept its original price point, Sony has opted not to cut its price, at least not for the time being. There you have it, the company’s mid-ranger, and last year’s flagship are now much more affordable in India, though we’ll if it will help Sony’s sales in India or not.

The Xperia X sports a 5-inch fullHD display, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 650 SoC, and it packs in a 2,630mAh battery. The 23-megapixel rear-facing camera is also included here, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes out of the box with Sony’s custom UI. The Xperia Z5 Premium, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch 4K display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 processor, and a 3,430mAh unit is also included here, and same can be said for the 23-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Xperia Z5 Premium comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, but it can be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow
