6GB RAM Xiaomi Mi 5s Model Leaks, Could Launch Soon

Xiaomi had introduced two high-end smartphones a couple of weeks back, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. These two devices are Xiaomi’s all-new flagship smartphone and phablet, respectively, at least until the company introduces the Mi Note 2 on October 25th. The Xiaomi Mi 5s was announced in two variants, one sporting 3GB of RAM, and the other one 4GB of RAM, while the Mi 5s Plus was released in both 4GB and 6GB RAM flavors. Some consumers were disappointed Xiaomi did not release the 6GB RAM variant (for one reason or the other) of the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it seems like that might change soon, read on.

If a new leak is to be believed, Xiaomi could be preparing the 6GB RAM model of the Xiaomi Mi 5s as well. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and on its display, you’ll notice the settings screen which gives out some info about this phone. Now, amongst those specs, the phone’s RAM count is listed, and it says 6GB of RAM. In addition to those 6GB of RAM, this phone will pack in 64GB of internal storage, just like the basic 3GB RAM model of this device, though it is possible Xiaomi is planning to release two 6GB RAM variants, the second one could arrive with 128GB of internal storage in order to stand side-by-side with the 4GB RAM model which also packs in 128GB of storage. This phone seems to be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top of it, just like the already released Xiaomi Mi 5s variants.

Now, as far as the rest of its specs are concerned, we won’t see any difference. The Xiaomi Mi 5s sports a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC, just like its larger sibling. The XiaomI Mi 5s features a 12-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) on the back, while you’ll find a 4-megapixel snapper (2um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) up front. The phone is made out of metal, and its fingerprint scanner is placed below the display.
