ASUS had unveiled its ZenFone 3 lineup consisting the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra, and ZenFone 3 Deluxe back in May this year, then again in July, the company added two more devices to its ZenFone 3 lineup in the form of the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max. The ZenFone 3 Laser and the ZenFone 3 Deluxe went up for pre-orders in the US just last month, and now it looks like the ZenFone 3 Laser is now available in India as well.
Originally, the ZenFone 3 Laser was unveiled in India alongside the Zenfone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe back in August but it’s only now that the device is being made available for purchase in the country. If you happen to live in India now you can pick up the ZenFone 3 Laser at a retail price of RS. 18,999 (around $290), the device will be available exclusively on Indian online retailer Flipkart – which is also an exclusive online retailer for the Pixel devices as well. Flipkart will be the exclusive retailer for a one month period after which the ZenFone 3 Laser will also be available through offline retailers like the Reliance Digital Store, Croma, and Vijay Sales across the country.
The ZenFone 3 Laser is a mid-range device. It sports a 5.5-inch Dull HD IPS display with a resolution of a 1920 × 1080 and measures in 149 x 76 x 7.9mm. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core CPU – running at a 1.4 GHz frequency, while an Adreno 505 GPU is there to handle graphics and gaming. For optics, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture, laser auto focus and a dual-tone LED flash on the back while an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture is placed on the front side of the device. The ZenFone 3 Laser boasts 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support (up to 256GB). To keep the show running, the device has a 3000 mAh non-removable battery and a micro USB v2.0 port for charging and data transfer. On the software side, the ZenFone 3 Laser comes pre-loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with ASUS’ custom ZenUI 3.0 running on the top of the Google’s OS. Elsewhere, the device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a hybrid dual-SIM slot as well.
